New Patients – What to Expect? No Surprises!

Welcome to our Office and Website. We do our best to give you clear information and make the new patient experience as smooth as possible. We’ll explain our services, let you know if we can help you and explain what to expect for your best results.

First Phone Call

When the office is open, you’ll always get a live response. No automated systems or prompts. You will have a personal experience from the first call. We’ll answer your questions and get some information from you and schedule your visit. We do allow 45-60 minutes for the new patient appointment. During the first visit and follow up appointment, no other patients are scheduled, so this time is set aside especially for you. We ask you to arrive 10-15 minutes early, as this helps ensure other patients stay on time as well. Thanks! We are a unique office in that we do run on schedule!

Pre-Appointment Prep

If you have access to a printer, please print and fill out the intake forms and bring them completed along with you. This will save you time when you arrive. Also, bring along any current spinal x-rays or MRI reports you may have. Most folks are happy to learn we are a fragrance-free facility. Thank you for being part of this effort. Perfumes, colognes, hand gels, sprays often impact breathing, allergies and may even cause brain fog. On the days of your appointments, please refrain these products.

Visit One

When you arrive, please sign in. We’ll go over your forms and escort you to the Exam Room. Dr. Marcus will review your intake forms and explain how we can provide you with the care you need.

You’ll have a chiropractic exam consisting of:

  • Consultation/Case History

  • Postural Assessment

  • Safety Tests

  • Range of Motion Study

  • Palpation Exam

  • X-rays (if needed)

X-rays

At the end of the chiropractic exam portion, x-rays may be recommended. X-rays are taken standing and in our office while you are here, so there’s no need to schedule for an outside appointment elsewhere. Your films will be developed and analyzed in time for your follow up visit. We take x-rays for two reasons: to allow you to see your spine and to help provide the safest care. Note: We do not automatically x-ray every person.

Follow Up Visit

At the end of your first visit, we’ll set up another appointment to go over our findings. This should take place as soon as you are able, within 7 days from visit one. In a personalized report, we’ll review the information gathered, let you know if we can help you and how long it will take. Should we accept you for care and you are ready to begin care, you’ll receive your first chiropractic adjustment. We have provided care for people of all ages: from to newborn babies all the way to 93 years old. Everybody is different, and every BODY is unique. The care you receive is designed specifically for your subluxation correction and health goals. We do listen, so ask your questions and share your thoughts with us. Good communication is essential to all healing.

Payment

One of the things we have heard repeatedly in practice over the years is how valuable our affordable care becomes to the families that use our service.  We have many payment options available and accept cash, check, credit card, Highmark Blue Shield, health savings plans, flexible spending accounts and Visa/MasterCard/Discover. Whether dealing with an immediate issue, wanting support in correcting an underlying spinal concern, or using our wellness care plans to maximize bodily performance, we have payment options that can work for you. We will assist you with this process. Insurance plans are all individual and change annually. We have found that a great majority of policies have higher deductibles and co-pays than our well care plans. Chiropractic care doesn’t cost, it saves!
