Born in New York City, then growing up in nearby New Jersey, Dr. Nalyn was raised in a large family instilled with values centered around faith, community involvement and music. Chiropractic care first was experienced at age 17, after sports injuries and allergies started her natural  health journey.  To this day, weekly check ups are maintained and a central part of her own self care.

Raising a family as she served the profession was important and so much so that an offshoot of that was to share with other women doctors.  In 1998 The Women In Chiropractic Round Tables was created and is still offered annually to assist others in the balance of work, home life and practice.

Dr. Marcus is the recipient of numerous awards in the profession, but is most proud  of her involvement in scouting and raising an Eagle Scout son and nurturing those same values as was instilled in her and her siblings.

She is an ATHENA recipient as well as Chiropractor of the Year from Sherman College, and is a regular speaker at New Beginnings Philosophy Seminars and League of Chiropractic Women.

Educating patients with fresh perspectives on the importance of chiropractic care, Dr. Marcus publishes a monthly newsletter, The Subluxation-Free Press and has been a contributing writer to the Garden State Chiropractic Society and most recently, a co-author in The Joy of Living Through Chiropractic.

Outside interests include singing, travel, photography and writing. Something few people may  know: Nalyn lived aboard a houseboat on the Hudson River, worked at  the World Trade Center and has traveled to 21 countries.

Her youngest child adjusted: 4 minutes old.

Oldest: 95 years young.

Lastly, being a family chiropractor, impacting and inspiring others is the most wonderful life of service she can imagine.
