Stuff happens… We adapt…It’s All About Plan B.. That’s Life!

Summer went zip, and now we’re prepping for the crunchy, colorful days of autumn, even as our local temps are still hitting the 80s.

Change is all around us and I remain keenly aware of when there’s a lull of quiet amid the bustle of to-do lists, events and projects. It doesn’t happen often, but it gets me to thinking…

We recently had a mechanical ‘subluxation event’ that affected office function.

At 10:30 a.m. the Internet was down.

That translated to no computer, no phones, no Pandora music, no new appointments on line or transactions. Thankfully we had power, so lights and radio worked, and of course, we had daylight and our smiles and caring to carry on.

We adapted.

Calling in to report the incident, it was an area outage. While internet was back within a few hours, the broader effects were felt til after dark. A car had overturned and struck a utility pole around the corner, and a main road closed in both directions well into the evening hours. Grateful that alternate routes and detours worked, so folks could get in for their spinal care the rest of the day.

Not easy, but we rolled with plan B.

We all adapted.

Here’s the the Chiropractic connection:

The local flow of power (nerve system!) had a major impact trauma (stress) to its transmission (neural impulses) and normal traffic patterns were interrupted. Sound familiar? That utility pole (vertebra) and the connecting lines for power (nerve pathways) were misaligned by an outside force (stress) when the car struck the pole.

End result? Loss of transmission (subluxation), and a breakdown in normal function and ease. And we adapted (detours,) while repairs, HEALING took place. And as you’ve read before, healing takes time.  Hooray for the Chiropractic adjustment, (here, the utility company), working long hours to restore normal function and balance to our area. Happy ending!

Wrap up: With a clear, subluxation-free nerve supply, adaptation, healing and thriving are possible! Adjustments keep your life roads open and keep you travellng on journey, with you humming your favorite song!

Thanks for reading. Sweater weather will be here before you know it. Enjoy each day, and know that as the seasons change, you can adapt best when you're well adjusted, so when life happens and Plan B needs to kick in, you'll be ready!
