Looking for "Just Right"

These are the late spring days that we search for ahh, like Goldilocks, we are looking for the days and weather and moments that are—"not too hot, not too cold… just right".

Take a drive. You’ll see treetops shifting from soft browns to the fresh new greens. Here in the Lehigh Valley, color is waking up—cherry blossoms, violets, tulips, grape hyacinths, and bright forsythia bushes shouting their yellows. Even the office pond is stirring with life (and two baby koi!). We're witnessing renewal and can't help but wish for the perfect temps, breeze and energy.

Every May 1st, for more than 50 years, our Mom would get calls from her 5 daughters, and we'd sing into the phone "tra-la! It's May! That lovely month when everyone goes blissfully astray".. (sweet family tradition; if you want the backstory, just ask..)

It’s the season of cyclical miracles, this renewal.

And you, too, are no less a miracle—every single day.

Because your body is always seeking that same perfect, ahh. That just right.

Balance. Ease. Reset.

The body’s natural state of 'ahh'.

When your nerve system is functioning well, everything works together and, most importantly, adapts. You shift, respond, and return to center—often without a second thought.

Think of something as simple as a cut.

It bleeds, then stops—the body clotting.

Inflammation follows—protection arriving.

New cells form—repair underway.

A scab, then healing… and finally, back to just right.

All of it guided by your nerve system, calling every cell into action.

And it doesn’t stop when you sleep.

Your heart beats, lungs breathe, cells renew, tissues repair. The brain directs it all—quietly, faithfully—whether you’re paying attention or not! I've used this example when invited to make a classroom visit, and it's so fun to hear young answers and in the end, them telling ME that it’s the brain that tells the body what to do! Kids are so smart!

“Just right” has a name; it's homeostasis.

It’s your body’s constant effort to keep you adapting and in balance.

When your spine is subluxation-free, clear of interference, your nerve system can do what it was designed to do— adapt, heal, and return again and again to that place of ease.

Life may not be a fairytale, but with regular chiropractic care, it can be a story with you as the star, helping you to adapt and triumph through all life's adventures along the way. And that biography, your healthy life story, is something to sing about, and will always be a best seller!

See you on the Tables!
