Welcome to September! Although it’s still officially summer, if you blink, you realize we are now on the other side of the season. The 8pm sundown hour has slipped a bit toward the coming autumn, and Mother Nature continues to bring us all the aspects of weather! Muggy, cool, drenching rains, humidity… and then it begins again. One thing is for sure: life continues to change, and we must continue to adapt.
Our practice members enjoy all the aspects of wellness care that we provide here, so you’ll also see families and teachers’ schedules falling back into their respective academic rhythms.
Our annual postcard fun dangles along the fireplace mantel where we can read and enjoy seeing where the spines of the practice have travelled.
The start of the school year also means we’re back at the “How Tall?” wall, measuring the growth of the chirokiddos! And, of course, the annual back-to-school backpack raffle is always an anticipated announcement after coming in for spinal checks all summer. Congratulations to backpack winner Charlotte and to Westgate Pizza gift card winner, Therese!

Sometimes the best way to find out if you’re in the right place is to stop in and see for yourself. Your visitor may walk out with their questions answered, a new patient appointment and maybe a couple of fresh tomatoes picked from Donna’s “farm.” We are all about the natural experience here and love to share our passion with others.
Speaking of celebrating, September 18th is Chiropractic’s 131st birthday, and we’ll have some treats and fun pirate dress-up fun on those days… “Arrrg-en’t you glad you’re well adjusted?” :-)
Last but not least, exciting times are ahead as I’ll be heading out to check off two major items on my bucket list!
I’m excited to be part of a team of docs and students for a mission trip! I’ve been thinking about doing this for many years, and Chiro for Kenya is making this a reality for me. What an honor to serve adjustments to the people of East Africa in Watamu, Kenya for a week — and then, my second dream… to go on safari! Truth? I'm excited and nervous!
The office will be closed the week of September 21st as Donna has her vacation then too, and re-open on Monday, 9/28. Dr. Jessica will be on hand to keep your spines on track. Schedule your care before I fly, while I'm gone, and when I'm back!
